Bastille Day 2009
Bastille Day was celebrated in style when the Alliance Française joined four French Associations, Auckland Accueil, Frenz School, Frogs in NZ and Les Petits Lascars, to stage an evening of song, dance and entertainment. The act included a stiring session of Agfrican drumming, a genuine operatic diva singing “La mArseillaise” a cancan competition and a Ceroc demonstration. Much fine food and wine was consumed and a great time was had by all.
The event, which attracted several hundred people, provided an excelent opportunity for Francophones and Francophiles to get together in a celebration of French culture and hospitality. Many thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make the evening so special, thanks to sponsors Air Calin, Louis Vuitton, New Caledonia Tourism, Peugeot, L’Oreal, Ceroc Dance and Bridal Grace.
See you next year!
